A lot of bodybuilders overlook the need for regular, cardiovascular exercise. Unlike weightlifting which is performed in repetitions and sets, cardio involves continuous motion. You can get your cardio in on the rowing machine, the elliptical, the treadmill, stair climber or stationary bike. This element is critical for warming and limbering your muscles up, elevating your heart rate and burning unwanted stores of fat. You cannot strip excess fat from your body by lifting weights alone. Moreover, even the best cutting products won’t produce the lean, ripped physique that you really want, if your bodybuilding routine is absent of this type of exercise.
Fortunately, you don’t have to do a lot of it, especially if you aren’t carrying around a lot of excess body weight in the form of stored fats. One easy way to start working more cardio into your routine is by putting a few minutes in, in-between weightlifting sets. You can hop on the rowing machine, jump rope, do jumping jacks or even jog in place. This is known as circuit training and it is one of the best ways to get ripped while stripping away fat stores that have been hiding your newly-built muscles. It will also improve your heart health, expedite the removal of stored toxins and make your next cutting or endurance cycle infinitely easier.
